Hi all, I'm Richard, an engineer based in Edinburgh with a background in mechanical engineering and sustainable energy systems. I've signed up for Intelligent Trip Planning for Battery Electric Vehicles Using Real-Time Map Data and am starting work on it now. Most of my previous modelling sat on the network side of EV charging rather than the vehicle side, so I'm approaching this from the grid end. Happy to collaborate or compare notes with anyone else on this project, particularly on pulling elevation and traffic data out of the Google Maps API and turning it into a usable drive cycle for the BEV model.
