Hyprland spacing?

Hello! I was trying to make a sidebar with eww, but it would cover everything behind it. I need it to use hyprland's between-window scaling variable. I've tried two things. One was putting it in the background, but that made it get covered by my windows, and the other was putting waybar on to see if that would make the spacing, but for some reason it just appears to the left of the window. So, if someone could help me figure out how to make an eww widget/window, that'd be great!

weird how no one has replied yet, you need to put 'exclusive :true' on your defwindow of the bar
